The LifeVac (with Soft Travel Bag) is a non-powered, single-patient-use airway clearance device designed for the emergency relief of foreign body airway obstruction (choking) when standard back blows and abdominal thrusts have failed or are not appropriate. The device uses a one-way valve and pull-handle to generate negative pressure across a fitted mask, dislodging the obstructing object from the upper airway without forcing it deeper. Supplied in a soft travel bag suitable for home, travel, and personal emergency-preparedness use. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for use; Training in basic choking response and LifeVac operation is recommended.
