The Accu-Chek Performa Control Solution is a quality-control solution supplied in a two-bottle pack — Level 1 (low/blue cap) and Level 2 (high/red cap) — for verifying the accuracy of Accu-Chek Performa test strips and meters. Applied to a test strip in place of blood, the solution should return a result within the range printed on the strip vial, confirming that the meter and strips are functioning correctly. Routine control testing is recommended when opening a new strip vial, after temperature exposure, or when results appear inconsistent with how the user feels. Compatible only with the Accu-Chek Performa meter system; Not for injection or oral use.
