The Accutrend Cholesterol Control Solution is a quality-control solution used to verify the accuracy of Accutrend cholesterol test strips on the Accutrend Plus meter. The 1.5mL bottle provides sufficient solution for routine control testing and should be stored refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C. Running a control test is recommended when opening a new strip vial, after the meter has been exposed to extreme conditions, or whenever an unexpected result is obtained. Results outside the expected range indicate a need to troubleshoot the strips or meter before further patient testing.
