The SAM Splint (46cm x 10cm) is a foam-padded malleable aluminium splint designed for the emergency stabilisation of suspected fractures, sprains, and dislocations in pre-hospital, emergency department, and sports medicine settings. The thin aluminium core is bendable by hand into any shape required to support the injured limb, and once bent into a structural curve (SAM-fold or T-fold) becomes rigid enough to immobilise the injury, while soft foam padding on both sides provides patient comfort and an unyielding-but-cushioned splinting surface. Lightweight, reusable, latex-free, and waterproof — suitable for repeated use in emergency response kits and sports first aid. Wipe clean between patients; Reshape as required for the next injury.
