The Fastrach Intubating Laryngeal Mask Airway is a reusable supraglottic airway device with a rigid anatomically-curved metal shaft and integrated handle, designed both for routine airway management and as a conduit for blind or fibre-optically guided tracheal intubation in known or unanticipated difficult airways. The cuffed silicone mask seals over the laryngeal inlet to allow ventilation, while the wide bore shaft accommodates passage of a dedicated reinforced silicone tracheal tube through the device and into the trachea — supporting awake or anaesthetised intubation without direct laryngoscopy. Size is intended for patients in the 50–70kg weight range per the manufacturer's guidance; The device can be reused after appropriate cleaning and sterilisation up to the manufacturer's stated cycle limit. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for use, sizing, and reprocessing protocols.
