The Guedel Oropharyngeal Airway (standard) is a single-use, latex-free polyethylene oral airway designed to maintain a patent airway in unconscious patients by preventing the tongue from obstructing the posterior pharynx. The anatomically curved design with a reinforced bite block protects against tooth damage and accidental occlusion, while the colour-coded flange supports rapid size identification during emergency airway management. The length is sized per the manufacturer's specifications for the corresponding patient anatomy — measured externally from the corner of the patient's mouth to the angle of the jaw before insertion. Supplied sterile in individual packaging. For single use only; Correct sizing is critical to airway management efficacy and safety.
