The electrostatic media achieves high filtration efficiency for bacteria and viruses while imposing minimal added resistance and minimal added dead-space — both critical considerations in paediatric ventilation where airway resistance and rebreathing have proportionally larger effects. Standard ISO connectors enable circuit compatibility, with a luer port typically provided for capnography sampling.
