The Endotracheal Tube Introducer (Bougie) is a flexible single-use stylet designed to assist intubation in difficult airway scenarios, particularly when only the epiglottis or posterior arytenoids are visible during laryngoscopy. The angled (coudé) distal tip allows the operator to feel tracheal rings as the bougie passes between the cords, providing tactile confirmation of correct tracheal placement before railroading the endotracheal tube over the bougie into position. Manufactured from medical-grade polymer with depth markings and a smooth atraumatic finish to support safe airway management.
